31-Day Blog Challenge, Day 28 – “Last Time I Cried”

Last Time I Cried – I had to really think about this one. It’s been a while since I had a really good cry, but there have been instances where in the mornings I’m bound to shed a tear watching these sappy videos on Facebook. I used to cry all the time as a kid – I was really sensitive, so much so that I couldn’t even read a story I wrote to the class in Grade 4 without sobbing halfway through it. My best friend continued it for me while I sat down. For some reason, I was always writing stories about these beautiful mythical creatures that die at the end. I must have unknowingly been a fan of the Shakespearean Tragedy before I knew he existed.

Anyways, the last time I cried was just last week, when I decided to read “The Call Of The Wild”. It doesn’t matter how many times I have read that book, there are two parts I always seem to cry at  (spoiler alert) when John Thornton is about to have Buck pull 1000 lbs for him on a bet and quietly rubs his head and says “As you love me, Buck. As you love me”, before Buck performs an unimaginable feat. Then at the end… when Buck becomes lengend.   I don’t know why I always cry at these points – especially since I KNOW what’s coming, but it gets me. Every. Time.

And that’s it…

Until next time, see you on the Flip Side!  Only 3 more entries to go…
