This event raised $200 for The Covenant House, Toronto. Thank you everyone for a job well done!
The event was located at 105 Consumers Drive, Unit 2 in the Conference Room. It began shortly after 1pm, and continued on to almost 4pm. People attending had a chance to shop and enter into the draws before the speakers arrived shortly after 2pm. And what encouraging and empowering stories were heard. Marnie Grundman was the the Featured Speaker, and author of “Missing: A True Story of a Childhood Lost”. There were other inspirational speakers to be heard as well — thank you Melanie Fry, Marnie Kay, and Lisa Consoli. All strong women with their own story to tell.
Thank you everyone who visited my booth and shared their stories, allowed me to share the story of my startup, and oooh’d and aaaahhh’d over some of my pretties! I had a couple of hammered metal rings that I wasn’t going to bring yet since they were not even in my inventory database yet! But — I listened to my gut instinct and put them on the table. One sold almost right away — my rectangular Labradorite stone ring, which fit Julie’s finger perfectly!! The Amethyst one is still available at the time I write this post 🙂 If you would like me to make you a ring like these ones, please contact me with your ring size, and your preferred stone.
And the proud winner of the Nature In Spring necklace from the not yet released ElementalNature Collection, was my booth neighbour, Darlene, owner of Silky Bath Bombs. This necklace is made with Aqua Round Shell beads, Dark Green Aventurine, Hypersthene (the dark ones), purple dyed Quartzite, and brown seeds (sorry, I don’t know what kind they are). The middle pendant is a piece of Prehnite. A combination of rough and smooth.
I had a wonderful time, met so many awesome people, and was motivated and inspired for the upcoming 4th Annual Health & Wellness Expo I would be vending at the very next day! Yaaaay!!!
